It’s time to start thinking about early fall fishing on the Cape May Lady as Labor Day approaches in Cape May NJ
The fall in Cape May offers some of the best fishing yet during the season. With the anticipation of the Fall Cape May Striper Season off of the famous Cape May Rips, it’s time to get our gear ready and come down to Cape May and enjoy a 4 hour fishing trip. One of our favorite trips at the end of the Labor Day Season is to join Captain Jason during any one of his famous 4 hour fishing trips departing from the Cape May South Jersey Marina aboard the Cape May Lady.
Our back bays and beaches will experience a run of mullet which will officially start the fall fishing season in Cape May. As the mullet begin to move out from the bays our fall fishing will begin with ample Bluefish and Striped Bass on the hunt for bait fish. You can also go bottom fishing for croakers and kingfish during the early runs during September and October.
Get Ready to Experience Some Great Fall Fishing Action at the Cape May Rips
The famous Cape May Rips, abundant with baitfish during October will begin to heat up with good local fishing. You can drift in the Cape May Rips using clams, live eels and bunker along with bucktails to catch Cape May Striped Bass or smaller bluefish. You will also see many birds feeding on the schools of baitfish at the rips which makes for an ideal set up for trolling near the shore in Cape May.
