Cape May – Lewes Ferry Hosts Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

(Cape May, NJ) Before he heads off to deliver tasty cream eggs and Easter candy to children around the world, the Easter Bunny has graciously agreed to stop at each Ferry terminal for a special breakfast with some of his favorite Delaware Bay children! The special “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” events are scheduled for Saturday, March 26 in the salon of the Cape May and Lewes Terminals. Two special seatings will take place at each location: 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The Ferry’s famed mascot, Pirate Pete, will also be on hand to entertain the little ones!

“In December, we hosted a special holiday event featuring with Santa and Mrs. Claus that proved extremely popular with our customers,” said Nikky Fisher, manager of the Lewes Terminal. “We thought a similar community event featuring the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt and special prizes, would make a great family event to add to our calendar. We can’t wait to see the children’s faces as they hunt for eggs on the ferry lawn!”

A special buffet with a variety of tasty breakfast treats will be prepared; including sliced seasonal fruit, deviled eggs, granola parfaits, scrambled eggs with assorted toppings, buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup, cinnamon French toast, hickory smoked bacon and country sausages, carved smoked ham, tater tots, leek & mushroom quiche, crust less asparagus, assorted mini breakfast pastries and muffins, coffee, tea, milk and assorted juices.

In between the two seatings, children will be invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt that will begin at 10:00 a.m. “We wanted to make sure the egg hunt would be fun for everyone so we’re dividing the hunt into age groups,” Fisher added. Only children registered for the breakfast with a wristband will be able to be in the egg hunt. In the case of inclement weather, eggs will be handed out to children at the breakfast.

Participants should bring their own Easter baskets or bags for the hunt. Each child will be limited to finding 10 eggs. At the conclusion of the egg hunt, children will bring their basket to the Easter Bunny who will give each child a special golden egg. Pirate Pete will also be on-hand to present each youngster with a fun gift from the Ferry.

The cost for “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” is $12 for children ages 4-12 while adults are $22. Children under the age of 3 are free. Rain or shine. Due to limited capacity and anticipated popularity of the event, reservations are required. If space permits, walk-up customers will be accommodated. To reserve your tickets for “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny,” please contact our Guest Services Department at 800-643-3779 (FERRY) from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily.
