After ticketing with key venues this past two years, including the Cape May Whale Watcher, East Coast Para-sailing and the Cape May Lady we are expanding our mobile presence with 100% paper-less ticketing this year. Cape May Resort.com offers on line ticketing for Bed and Breakfast.com and Travelocity as part of it’s mobile strategy.
“Vacationer’s coming to the Jersey shore don’t want to stand outside in a hot line while waiting for a ticket. We have conducted market research and it show’s that mobile users, want to purchase tickets on a mobile platform while in the hotel, vacation home, shopping, or in the car on the ride to the shore.” Ryan Reclaim – Marketing Director Cape May Resort.com
We plan to provide a 100% mobile platform that will allow a Cape May Vacationer book a ticket on the Garden State Parkway, and arrive at the event and enter with a screen from their own smart phone or tablet.
The Cape May Resort.com site is designed with local time You Tube Videos, including a smart device “Mobile Format” allowing Cape May travelers to easily access screen friendly content that is compatible with today’s mobile browsers.
In support of this new site, Cape May Resort.com has launched Social Media networking links on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest social networking sites to suit the ways Cape May travelers plan and communicate.
This site is home to custom pages and video of easy to navigate information about Cape May- from discount saving digital coupons to weather reports and weekly events. Cape May Resort.com also hosts a local Cape May Blog featuring local events, things to do in Cape May, shopping, beach information and more.
In addition to the Social Media Links, this new site links directly to the Greater Cape May Chamber of Commerce accommodations availability listing portal. This allows potential new Cape May County visitors to check accommodations on the spot. “As the new tourism landscape has changed dramatically due to the recession and Hurricane Sandy, while we continue to enjoy a high visitor return rate, we are finding the need to work harder to attract and keep the overnight vacationer to the county” as cited by the 2012 Annual Cape May County Tourism Conference report.
