CAPE MAY – The city will celebrate its Dutch heritage by remembering Captain Cornelius Mey, who gave the town its name, on Sunday, April 20.
From 1 to 4 p.m., the Washington Street Mall will host festive activities. See authentic Dutch klompen dancing in the open air pedestrian mall. Meet Captain Mey himself. Greet the King and Queen of Cape May. See who will win the hotly contested Apple Pie Contest. As you walk our Mall, browse in our many family-owned shops and restaurants, with their shop windows newly dressed to welcome spring to the nation’s first seashore resort.
