 • Christmas caroling and strolling musicians, trees and garland & good old-fashioned cheer
 • Hospitality centers with warm beverages & home-baked goodies
 • Admission to the Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian house museum, and to “An Old-fashioned Christmas: Holiday Traditions through the Years” exhibit in the Carriage House Gallery
 • Continuous shuttle service on heated trolleys

Looking for something to do in Cape May this week end in December, two free concerts are coming up in Cape May.  The Angelus Chorus will perform a free concert at the new Convention Hall on Beach Avenue 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.  December 8 Packaged Goods Orchestra – Free Concert, 7:30 pm, Cape May Convention Hall

Angelus Chorus began in November 1964 with a small group of local residents volunteering to sing Christmas carols for residents in the Angelus Convalescent Home in Wildwood. After the holidays, the group organized and began serious rehearsals and became known as The Angelus Chorus.  Over the years, they continued to practice and perform in the local communities.  Any money received went back to the convalescent home.  After the Angelus Convalescent Home closed, the chorus continued to perform and benefits were given to various community organizations such as the Volunteers in Medicine, Project Lifesaver – Cape May County Sheriff’s Office, Holy Redeemer Jersey Shore Food Pantry, and Family Promise of Cape May County.

Since 2006, the director has been Dr. Richard Stanislaw, the president of the Ocean City Tabernacle.  The accompanist is Ruth Fritsch, organist and choir director of the Cape Island Baptist Church, and is only the second accompanist in the chorus’ 48 years.

The Angelus Chorus rehearses on Monday evenings during the school year at the Middle Township High School from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Their concerts are given during April, May, and December.  Those interested in joining the chorus or learning more may call 898-0324 for more information.

Are you looking for some things to do in Cape May this week end . Well Decemeber 1st in Cape may kicks off the Christmas Candelight House tour starting from 5:50 to 8:30 PM. You can pick up tickets at the Washington Street Mall in Cape May. While visiting Cape May this week end don’t forget that the West Cape May Community Christmas Parade starts at 5:00 PM. While waiting for the Parade to start you can get some shopping in at the new Cape May Convention hall while visiting the Crafts at Christmas events which goes from 1 PM to 4PM.
