Visit the Cape May Lighthouse and  Cape May Point State Park

Cape May Lighthouse is part of the Cape May Point State Park . This park is a major migratory stop over for shore birds and also a stop over for butterflies. This park has a number of trails for walking and you also will get a great view of the ocean beach side. On most days you can see dolphins playing off shore from the lighthouse less than a hundred yards from the beach side. In addition to the Lighthouse, you can also check out the World War II bunker of visit the World War II tower, which is an old range site.

This park is the southern most tip of New Jersey, and is usually a quiet relief from the busy town of Cape May. If you are going to the Park or the Lighthouse don’t forget to stop in at the Red General Store for a breakfast, lunch or ice cream or ice tea for a refreshment.  If you continue down Sunset Drive you will get to Sunset Point, every night they have a flag ceremony at sunset and play God Bless America. This  is one of our most favorite spots in Cape May, it’s always a surprise to visit this special location during each season to check out the local wild life and enjoy the sunset, don’t miss it if you come to Cape May. Cape May Boat Ramp, Spicers Creek Boat Ramp – if you are looking for a decent “Free” Boat ramp to launch your boat in Cape May, check out the ramp behind Lucky Bones across from the Lobster House. This ramp is good concrete ramp with plenty of water at high tide, be careful at low tide as the ramp has a very quick drop off and deep whole at the end the concrete apron. You can only load in one boat at a time due to the finger pier and limited width of the ramp. So please have all of your equipment ready and boat prepared to minimize the wait time for the next boat that will be launched.http://capemayresort.com

This garage has been created into a unique marketplace featuring antiques, collectibles, local art and one of kind artist creations and local estate jewelry. The West End Garage is a great way to spend a rainy day shopping for local antiques and one of a kind creations. You can expect the pricing to be slightly higher than your local gift shop, but please keep in mind that you are purchasing one of a kind antiques and custom prepared higher end goods. The shop attendants are very helpful and if you are luck you can meet our local Cape May Artist working the booths and showcasing the individual booths and showcasing the fine goods…very well done. We personally visit this shop almost every week end and and have purchased several decoration and collectible items. If you go early you are next door to the Cape May Bake Shop for a coffee and fresh baked goods, and don’t forget you are across the street from the West Cape May Park.. Don’t miss this fun and uniques indoor market in Cape May, you are not only supporting our local Cape May artist you are also re-purposing older antique items which is the green thing to do. The West End Garage is located at 484 Perry Street in Cape May, 609 770 8261. The shop hours are Sunday to Thursday 10am-6PM, Friday-Saturday 10am-8PM. The West End Garage supports over 20 local artist with various mediums for sales, as well as art classes and events.
