New Snow Leopard House Erected at Cape May County Zoo – October 9, 2014

Funded entirely by private donations, the snow leopard habitat construction is underway at the Cape May County Zoo. The new holding building was designed specifically to house and breed snow leopards.
Cape May County Park Director Ed Runyon, Zoo Director Dr. Hubert Paluch and Zoo Society Executive Director William MacQueen stand in front of the first panel being  installed at the new Walter The pre-cast concrete building was fabricated by Northeast Precast of Millville and panels were trucked to the Zoo. Using a high-tech crane and experienced crew, the building was erected in two days. The exterior exhibit enclosure, constructed of virtually invisible stainless steel mesh, will be installed in November. The exhibit will open Spring  2015 The Zoo Society, official support organization for the zoo, raises funds for capital improvements.
