Slow Food South Jersey Shore and Cape May Forum Present a Farm-to-Table Dinner


This Thursday, Slow FoodBLOODWORTH_APIL_jpg_w300h369 South Jersey and Cape May Forum give youa little taste of early spring with a farm-to-table dinner at Congress Hall in Cape May. And they have some good partners helping them put the dinner together. The food will be sourced from Beach Plum Farms in Cape MayJAH’s Creation Organic Farm in Egg Harbor Twp, and other local places. A raw bar with Cape May salts will be provided byAtlantic Fisheries. And in the kitchen preparing the meal will be Chef Jeremy Einhorn, executive chef of Congress Hall.


The menu for the evening includes the following:

* Beach Plum Farm Root Vegetable Chowder

* Scallops

* JAH’s Creation’s Raw Farm Salad

* local fish

* Pan-seared chicken

* Shepherd’s Pie

* Vegetarian portabella mushroom

The entrees will be accompanied by vegetables from JAH’s Creation. A glass of wine from a local winery will be part of the dinner as well.

Dinner begins at 6PM, and the cost for the dinner is $60 per person. The process go towards supporting both Slow Food South Jersey Shore and Cape May Forum.
