Some things to do in Cape May for the Armed Forces Day Celebrations

  1. Visit the Cape May Word War II Lookout tower and attend the ceremony.
  2. Take a short drive to Naval Air Station Museum in Rio Grande NJ only 5 miles from Cape May. We recently visited the Naval Air Station Wildwood with our kids, as we were looking for a day trip to enjoy on a rainy afternoon that was close to Cape May NJ. The Naval Air Station or “NAS” Wildwood is only six miles from the center of Cape May NJ, located off of route 9 in at the Rio Grand Airport. It’s very easy to find and has free parking for cars, vans or campers.Visiting the Naval Air Station Aviation Museum, Wildwood in Cape May NJ.
  3. Visit the Cape May Sunset Beach Flag Ceremony – When visiting Cape May and Sunset Beach, be sure to leave at least one night open to join an evening flag ceremony held daily in season (May through September).
  4. Do you have family serving in the Coast Guard in Cape May NJ? The United States Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, N.J., is the Nation’s only Coast Guard Recruit Training Center.
