After a brief visit to her home port of Bivalve, NJ for Labor Day Weekend, she will head up the Delaware River to visit Burlington, NJ and Philadelphia, PA. The MEERWALD then returns to Bivalve and Greenwich, NJ to finish out the month.

Sunday, Sept 1: Navigation Skills Transit Sail from Cape May to Bivalve

The A.J. MEERWALD, New Jersey's Tall Ship, leaves Cape May on Sunday, Sept 1stLearn navigation and nautical skills while sailing up the Delaware Bay from Cape May to Bivalve, NJ. Passengers can help hoist the sails, stand bow watch, take a turn at the helm, and enjoy beautiful views of the Bay, lighthouses, wildlife and more. This is a great opportunity for outdoor photographers. Departs Cape May at 9:00 a.m. – duration approximately 6 hours. Return transportation is not included.

Bivalve Sail Schedule: Sails depart from the Bayshore Center at Bivalve, 2800 High St., Port Norris, NJ 08349
Sunday Sept 1: Maurice River Cruise 4:00-5:30 p.m. A short afternoon sail on the scenic Maurice River.
Monday Sept 2: Labor Day Birding Sail 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. An early morning cruise along the Maurice River from the Bay to the Mauricetown Bridge. There with be experienced birders aboard to help spot and identify a wide variety of birds, coffee and breakfast goodies to enjoy, and spotting scopes to share.

Burlington NJ Sail Schedule: Sails depart from the riverfront dock at the intersection of York & Pearl Streets (near the Oneida Boat Club).
Friday Sept 6: Evening Sail 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Saturday Sept 7: Delaware River Cruises from 1:00-2:30 p.m. & 3:00-4:30 p.m.; and a Maritime Heritage Sail with a guest speaker from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Sunday Sept 8: Senior Special Sail 2:00-4:00 p.m., Evening Sail 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Sunday Sept 29: Raptor Sail 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Experienced birders will help guests spot and identify migrating hawks and other birds during this cruise up the scenic Cohansey River.
Afternoon Sail 2:00-4:00 p.m.

The Bayshore Center at Bivalve is a non-profit organization whose mission is to motivate people to take care of the history, the culture and the environment of New Jersey’s Bayshore region through education, preservation and example. BCB operates the authentically restored 1928 oyster schooner A.J. MEERWALD, New Jersey’s official Tall Ship, as a hands-on sailing classroom throughout the region. The Bayshore Center is housed in the historic 1904 Oyster Shipping Sheds on the scenic Maurice River in Bivalve, NJ.
